| The booklet Balancing
Our Heritage with Our Horizons has been produced by the Saline
County Study to be help stimulate deliberation regarding land used
issues in the county. Twelve
Town Hall Meetings were held in the spring of 2000 to
consider the land use issue. Forums concerning land use were also held within
this spring's five L.I.F.E.
classes.
Two options are available for downloading the booklet Balancing Our Heritage with Our Horizons. Option one is to download the entire document. The problem with this option is that the file is very large (617KB)--primarily attibutable to the color cover. Option two is to download only the contents of the booklet. This option will not include the cover, but it will be a much smaller file (125KB). You can still view the cover information by looking below. You must have have Adobe® Acrobat® installed to read the files for either option one or option two. If you do not have Adobe® Acrobat® you can download it for free from the following Web site: www.adobe.com/prodindex/acrobat/readstep.html Option #1: Download the entire booklet in PDF
form. (Warning: The file is 617KB in
size.) You can obtain a free printed version of the booklet by contacting the Saline County Extension Center either by phone (660-886-6908), by e-mail (salineco@missouri.edu) or in person at the offices at 153 South Odell in Marshall (8 AM to noon, 1 PM to 4:30 PM, M-F). |
