Notice is hereby given that the Saline County Study Group will conduct a meeting at 7 p.m. on February 22, 1999 at the Habilitation Center Conference Room, Spainhower Building.

Issues assigned to Committee:
--Secure odor plume model
--Review "state of the art" technical solutions to odor problems

• 'Status of odor management report' from John Hoehne and Charles Fulhage
• Report on Air Conservation Commission CAFO odor regulation hearing held on February 4 in Truman Building in Jefferson—Richard Pemberton and Mike Dillon

Issues assigned to Options Committee:
--Identify legal options and other options available to bring about desired change on county level; do this within 6 months

• Discuss scheduling Jerry Organ to make presentation to Steering Committee

--Study committee needs education on how to present issues to the county

• Report on February 10 PowerPoint Presentation Practice meeting

• Discuss a backup presentation method in case of computer problems
• Clarify the use video clips showing how data layers are overlain using the Internet Map Server
• More volunteers are needed to help do presentations

• Announce that Johnson/Scott/O’Dubhchair paper on Participatory Action Research is now on the Web Site

-- Develop a photography portfolio for the Study and come up with ways to use it to promote the purposes of the Study

--Make recommendations for a county web site/presence

• Report on the move of the Extension Office

• Report on 2^nd annual Environmental Quality Conference held February 4 in Columbia; Theme: Our Common Future in the Missouri River—CARES
• Send representative(s) to 4th Annual Missouri GIS Conference? March 15-17 in Columbia at Holiday Inn Select Executive Center; Rooms $69/night before February 21; registration $75 before March 3, $90 after; various pre-conference workshops.
• New additions to web site—CARES & local 'web-masters'

• Cultural sites data layer now on the SCS web site
• General discussion about the look and organization of the web site
